Art Cinema OFFoff is a Belgian plat­form for exper­i­men­tal film. This poster announces a dou­ble-bill event that took place in open air. The loca­tions were rather spe­cific and uncom­mon for a screen­ing of exper­i­men­tal films: a 19^th cen­tury pub­lic park and a roman­tic court­yard gar­den. The pro­gram was also linked to the loca­tions, in order to cre­ate a sum­merly total expe­ri­ence, as all of the films in the pro­gram had parks, gar­dens or other out­door loca­tions as a cen­tral set­ting. We took this con­text as a pre­misse for the design of the poster, that we com­posed by use of a type­face (Hanol by Bouk Ra) that evoked the atmos­phere of the loca­tions, defined by their abun­dance of flow­ers, plants and 19^th cen­tury gar­den dec­o­ra­tions. OFFoff’s logo­type was mod­i­fied for the occa­sion, to blend in with the rest of the typog­ra­phy. Specific stills from the films were cho­sen to enhance the gen­eral mood.
